The Journey Spiritual Expectations

As a representative of The Journey Church in your volunteer role, there are certain beliefs and ways of life we ask for you to agree to. As a church, we are guided by our belief that God is our Creator, eternally existing with Jesus, alongside the Holy Spirit who provides a follower of Jesus the power for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guiding us to live the life God created us for. We view the Bible as inspired by God and the ultimate truth for what we believe and how we live our lives. This means we work to avoid certain behaviors in our lives like: theft, lying, gossip, slander, vulgarity, sexual promiscuity (including adultery, premarital sex, same-sex relationships, living together), and drunkenness. We realize we are imperfect people and that is why we fully believe in the grace we get from God through Jesus who paid for our sins on the cross, and extend that grace by loving each other wherever we may be while we love God, follow Jesus, and listen to the Holy Spirit.
